“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in” ~John Muir
Ecopsychology is the study of human connection and nature. Ecotherapy or Nature Based Therapy is the practice of therapy and the natural world. The healing and supportive capacity that nature can offer is infinite. Through connection with the earth, people are able to reconnect with themselves, others and often something greater.
Nature has tremendous healing power. By spending time in nature it can help regulate your nervous system and be a great resource. Research shows that spending time in nature has a positive impact on physical, mental health and well being.
We will explore your nature connection, utilize indoor interventions or conduct sessions outdoors. These sessions will allow you to tune into your mind, body and soul while allowing nature to support you.
Ecotherapy can include mindfulness, experiential activities, interaction with the natural world, ritual, art and movement. Benefits of Ecotherapy include the ability to slow down, feel restored, alive, playful, find a sense of direction/purpose and cultivate a deeper connection with oneself and the earth.
