I am grateful to do the work that I do, it has been a true calling. I aim to assist others in navigating through life’s challenges, bearing witness to their unique stories and work towards growth and change. I am often in awe of people’s capacity to heal themselves with a little assistance. What an honor!
I support people with diverse cultural, racial, sexual identities, immigrant and US born. I will meet you where you are, I will seek to listen and understand to your individual experiences with an open heart and mind.
My approach and style is integrative, collaborative and non-judgmental. My training and experience is a blend of psychodynamic, relational, health psychology, ecopsychology and multicultural/feminist awareness. I bring the qualities of presence, genuine caring and warmth to create a safe atmosphere. An important way of supporting clients is through attending to the therapeutic relationship. Studies have shown that the single most important factor in successful treatment outcomes is the relationship between therapist and client.
I have been a licensed clinical psychologist since 2006. I have worked with individuals, couples, adolescents, families and groups in several settings. I have worked in university college counseling centers, medical settings, non-profit agencies, high schools and substance abuse treatment centers. I have created and co-led therapy groups on various topics. I have developed and lead wilderness experiences with youth and college students.
